Brake Squeek when release
The other day i was pulling my car into the garage, and i noticed that when i let go of my breaks, they give a little squeek noise, kinda like those baby toys when u press them and they squeek? It seem to be coming from the rear right brake. It is a drum brake system on the rear of my car, would anyone know what this problem is? Thanx
BTW, my pads should be fine, as they were checked at 30K and the car has 50K on it, plus the sound is not like when pads wear out. |
it's contamination from brake dust and condensation... open up and clean out.
My car with 100K kms still had the original pads and shoes with prolly more than 50% life left still... shows how I baby my car I guess... at 50K, they shoes ought to just start wearing. |

Bruno, so I have to clean it up, like is there a way I can avoid this, like just keep driving or something easier, because I don't have time to open up my breaks right now? Plus, when you do clean it up, what do you do? |
