Ditto. My original OEM pads have lasted me 150,000k's. Honda must be doing something right. I would also consider Hawk HPS pads.

thx for the inputs. i'll probably go with the hawks then.
the thing is, if honda says on rear i got 5% pads left and the rotor is kind of rusty, and you have brand new rotor+pad for the front, do you really need to change the rear (in terms of safety)? how long can they last for?
thanks

5% is crazy low - you should be hearing squeals soon

hawk hps are nice - very low dust emission
power slot rotors are great too, and they have a nice silver coating so they don't get that ugly rust developing on them

i have this combo on my rears and i give it 100% approval rating

i do hear some sound already. it's not really squeeling but it's kind of like a rubbing sound. i think i'll just get the brembo blank + pads.
thx

My original DX front brakes + rear drum lasted me 110,000 and I still hear no sounds when breaking. I drove hard as well (ocassionally), even done track event with them.

At one point, Honda dealership told me I had 5% left as well. And my mechnic told me 20%. At any rate, dealerships are out there to make a few bucks. Anything and everything are in need of replacement. Everytime your car goes in, there is always something wrong with it.

Now that I have the same brake set up as yours, when the pads are worn out, I would go with Endless pads but if I must go with the two opinions you listed, I would go with Hawk.

yea....wonder why honda had always give you the same number (ie 5%) to everyone else.
but anyway, because of the noise, i might as well change it.
i heard endless is one of the best, but i don't think it's worth it for rear set though.

i think i've narrowed down my choices to axxis.
axxis brake pad
which one you guys think worth it for the rear set:
the deluxe plus or metal master?
i'm thinking the deluxe plus since i used deluxe for the front set already.
what do you guys think?

oh btw, the deluxe goes for 27 usd, the metal master goes for 38 usd

thanks again

I'm sorta in the same situation as you right now. I did some searching over google, and I read reviews of other people's thoughts. I got the impression hawk pads were the best out of axxis metal master, aem, ebc greenstuff, and the hawk hps.

I actually just order brembo blanks for my car, and I got myself hawk HPS pads to go with them. I heard the axxis pad are ok too, but they make more noise than the hawks do. If you are going for the axxis pads, go for the metal master.

I got my brembo blanks for $29 USD each, and the hawk hps pads are costing $51 USD.

they didn't ship it out to me yet. They have to order the hawk pads for me, when they get it, they'll ship out. I didn't really trust the site at first, but I found an ebay auction, and it was from that website. They had 100% feedback on ebay, so I figured they could be trusted. They have like 470 positive feedbacks on ebay.

Shipping was expensive, costing me like $43.00 USD, but I guess rotors are heavy so its not that bad. 4-10 shipping through USPS.

If you don't trust the website, you can wait till my stuff arrives. I'll keep you updated if you want.

I finally got my pads and rotors. With shipping from the website I gave you before, it comes to around $200 Cdn.

I didn't pay any customs fees either. That's $200 Cdn for 2 brembo blanks, and a set of Hawk pads.

Pics of my rotors and pads below (still in the box, just picked them up 10 mins ago)
