Brake pad/shoes Brands?

I have a 98 civic si Coupe. I'm not sure what brand of brake pads and shoes to get. Can anyone suggest a set for me? I have a cross drilled brembo on the front and stock drum brakes on the rear. Thanks

do a search..

I'd stick with OEM unless you are into tracking.

just go to auto parts store and get good pads and rotors from them, or get somthing like hawk hps or porterfield pads with a stock rotor if you want a "performance pad combo"

What brand of brake pads are good for cross drilled rotors? are OEM pads ok?

Why did you get the cross drilled rotors to begin with? Do you need them? Even if you were after performance, blanks would have given you an edge there.

But, if you truly do need x-drilled, then I wouldn't be going with OEM pads. Oem pads will be fine with X-drilled rotors, but seeing as you spent some coin on rotors, you might as well get good pads to see a difference. Hawk would be the minimum in my books. I personally like Endless Pads, and I would suggest investing in those if you need performance, as would seem the case from your rotor purchase.

For a daily driver, OEM or a good quality aftermarket pad/rotor combo is good enough.

Cross-drilled and/or slotted rotors and expensive pads are nice to have on a street car, but really unneccasary. But, if you already have the rotors, Hawk HPS would be good.

I wasnt satisfied with the stopping distance of the OME rotors, so I got the cross-drilled. I didnt spend much on them, it was a straight swap with the OME. When I did the change I noticed a big difference. My stopping distance was almost cut to half from going 100-0 km/h.

Thanks for the input.

I got Hawk HPS and im fine with that. I think you'll like them too cause you'll feel a bit of a difference in stopping. But for me my old rotors were warped so i put new rotors and pads so thats the reason why i noticed a difference.

id go with oem in the front and any ct or ps brand in the rear.
front does majority of the braking so u want the best **** up front.
