i dont wanna do it and find out i wont gain anything.
that would be money wasted, thats why im asking around.
as for the cost i saw a post way back but forgot how much.
i just wanna find out in theory if it would gain some or a lil bit of power.
thanks for the reply.

and one more thing, im looking to get more from the lower power band as oppose to higher rpms.
i drive mostly on the streets now and i dont get up to the higher rpms so theres no point having the power there.

Do you have intake, header and exaust done yet? If you don't, not worth it. If you do are you planning for any swap seeing your engine is only a d15, again you won't gain much.
Personnaly dont think it's worth the $200 for a throtle body.

Try a cam from a 91 CRX or Civic Si. The cam is half a tooth out of phase so you will need a cam gear as well.
Throw in a head gasket from a 96-2000 Si. It is thinner, more compression.
Throw on the intake manifold from a 92-2000 SOHC VTEC.
But the biggest thing, get a B18B throttle body. It is larger, and stinkin' cheap. Port match the intake manifold to the throttle body.

intake and header has been done.
not planning to swap a b series anytime soon.
donesixer: are u saying the b18b TB will bolt up to my stock intake manifold, just need to port match it?
thanks guys.

Yup, it will bolt right up. If you have the D15 manifold, swap it for a '92-95 manifold or '96-'2000 (better).
This is all assuming you have a 5th gen DX. The 4th and 6th gen DX has a down-draft set up that should be pitched.

donesixer has great advice ...
with air flow I see it this way start freeing up the flow path from the parts that are furthest away from the engine and work towards the block ... once you get there then have the block built up and go from there...
