well looking for something stock like ctr cams but there too hard to find so just thinking about other ways of getting a ctr look a like cam like the blox tuner spec A or the skunk2 tuner stage 1...these cams have almost the same lift and duration...just want too keep the motor pretty much stock but want to be able to rev it high...got dual springs and ti retainers....just want to see if anyone had these cams before and how did they like them..

most stage 2 cams have stock(ish or like) primary/secondary lobes and bigger vtec lobes.

Blox B is the cam for you. its the same as the old S2S2 profile. stock idle, good power from 6-8500rpm or so. very good cam profile for the money.

first off why do you care how high you rev your motor

you wont' be making power past 8000 rpm with a stockish cam

you want to rev to where you make power not to where you want to watch your tach go to

you will need valve springs retainers etc with blox b

what header do you run what block (1.6 1.8 2.0..??

sounds to me like you shoudl just stick to stock rev limit and drop in ctr cams

blox b's will give you more power but then your looking at springs a better header tunign cams gears....etc not to mention abit more compression

i'm using crane stage 2 cams. Wicked midrange with incredible vtec power. Took a while to get them to idle good (b/c they have larger primary/secondary lobes), but they idle just as well as any stock cams or aftermarket cams with stock-like primary/secondary lobes now that i've got it tuned really well.

I'm actually selling my crane stage 2 cams and valve springs/retainers (required with these cams). They made 167.7whp on my b16 (with no cam gear adjustments) tuned by me with crome. I'll include a copy of the street/dyno tuned program i'm using in my ecu if you buy the cams and/or valvetrain.
Amazing cams for the price, and you know the quality is there b/c crane has been making cams/valvetrain for years and years now.

use stock ctr cams, then you dont have to update your springs unless you are going to over 11000 rpm

id say you should never rev passed 9.5k. either pick up some skunk 2 stage 2 or buy zeemans cams, probally cheaper to get zeemans cams because their used.

but if your looking for serious power go with skunk 2 pro 2s but your gonna need to spend extra money on springs.
