blown tranny=motor problems?

I was thinking of buying this integra with a blown tranny, a friend told me once the tranny goes the motor starts to give problems and its not worth to buy. is this true?

trigga is correct. but a bad tranny could also indicate a lack of care or maintenance, or a really hard service life for the engine. I'd def compression and leakdown test the engine before buying or installing.
