Blow Off Valves

hey guys..just wondering what type of aftermarket BOV I should get for this upcoming summer...i'm buying a whole bunch of stuff for the winter and putting it in the summer...I have a big list

It's between the

- Greddy Type RS
- Greddy Type S
- HKS Super Sequential

so...what would you choose?

make sure you keep atleast 2,000+ in the bank for when that thing breaks or the crank decides to take a walk. Seriously though the hks is a very nice choice, my friend is running it on his turbo colt

i still think upgrading from a re-circulated bov to a non-circ. bov is stupid. Everytime you let off the gas your car is gona run damn rich

If you want a cool chattering sound and a big puff of black smoke out the exhaust....get an external BOV.

All those mentioned are good from what I've heard...

If you want snappier response when you get back on the throttle after shifting or lifting, and stealthy turbo sound, go with a recirculating air by-pass bov...

if your running a dsm then I would say type s or really just a 1g bov recirculated....the rs might be too much for your turbo (compressor surge) and the hks you have to buy the recirc kit sepretly which is more $$$$

so type s or 1g bov

what turbo you running what is your mod list if it's a dsm

2g I woudl say you must have a boost controller 3 inch Tback hard pipes etc with a 1g bov then maybe upgrade to a type s

blitz dd is nice, greddy are finicky (sp?) and need maintanance frequently, the turbosmart products i find are amazing, i love the vee-port's response, sounds and its adjustability, thats why i use it.

wow what boost are you runnign and you aren't hitting fuel cut hard....??

get a fuel pump fast like tomorrow and a afc or dsm link and injectors so you can not blow your motor up and actually take advantage of that turbo which shoudl be good for low 13's even 12's on pump

a bov is the last of your concern

how much boost are you running you sure it isnt' a 14b..?

nope...16G and i'm safely at 10 lbs of boost

the setup i'm at right now is safe even up to 14 lbs of boost, but i'm staying at 10...when I hit 22 lbs of boost i'll for sure get fuel system and fuel injectors and fuel pump

and what do you mean am I hitting fuel cut hard?

dsm's like to hit fuel cut when modified on the stock ecu's.. my friend did a couple mods, it would hit HARD at 4000rpm and jerk the car like crazy.. so he got dsm link

it doesnt like you revv past 4k. It shuts off the fuel and your car jerks/bogs. Its like limp mode
