my blaster coil is going...i was running wierd problem liek whenever i drove for a long time i couldn't rev past 6600...almost as if it had no fuel...turns out my blaster coil is failing teh spark is aching around the thing and not through it hot spots on it and sulphur deposits....does anone have experience with this problem?? if so plese elp..i hae new msd ignition system on teh way ....but should i be feeling a difference in the cars performance..help.

the blaster coil in the distributer is starting to go...liek when we took it apart at my shop there was sulphur deposit on it and hot spots on teh plastic casing so i am not getting proper spark from it so my whole system is fucked when it runs hot after a while of driving....i wasn just asking for more of a clear reason for why this is happening a more technical answer would be great from someone whos know about ignition systems

sounds like a short if it ain't charging properly and is heating up ... classic signs in electronics....

no a blaster coil is in every car with a distributer..its under ur dizzy cap...i am upgrading to an external blaster coil like MSD ignition products.....
