big problem

hey guys today i decided to further investigate y my wheel has a little bit of play in it, wlel i took the wheel off to discover that the axle or whatever u call it, (the piece that the lugs nuts screw onto) are fucked, the other 3 are good but one is like shorter b/c it must of snapped and only 3 were actually holding the wheel on and the other was just kidna sitting there and when i tried to tighten it no good cuzz its so short that the lug nut barely catches it but if u try and apply pressure it jsut comes off and stripes.......how am i supposed to fix this and approx how much?

yer talking about the wheel studs in the hub..
easy fix..

pull wheel, pull caliper, pull rotor, pull hub and replace wheel stud..reverse to re-assemble

there'll be a big nut to remove first, that'll get the hub to come off the end of the axle and away from the bearing..

a good whack with a hammer'll get the stud out..
same thing to get the new one in/or use an over sized hardened nut under a wheel nut and reverse-press it thru the hole...
watch the splines, make sure they line up before trying to seat it..

It's not that hard dude, take off the bolts that hold the calipers, put those aside (preferably without unhooking the fluid line), remove all the bolts that are visible and that look like they're holding the rotor assembly then...
Better yet, head over to crappy tire and pickup the Hayne's manual for your car for like $10. All the answers and pictures will be there.

I'd sell you mine but it's falling apart.
Keep trying various random CTires, they sell out quick... probably 'cause of TCC

Is this for FRONT or BACK??

if it's front, good luck, your gonna have to get that stud pressed in.. back you can do yourself..

I doubt that would cause your wheel play.. and frmo wheel play do you mean in the steering wheel? cuz then u are refering to front.. most commonly wheel play occurs from worn out tierods joints and/or bad steering rack. Worn tierods is mega dangerous! if that break only 1 wheel will turn and your toast..
