Best way to gain whp iss
Ok so what is the best way to gain Whp and or wtq without boosting..
From what i know is..
1. Headers
2. Cam gear
3. Cam shaft
4. Springs?
5. Retainers?
6. Pistons
7. Intake
8. Exhuast
9. Tranny?
10. Tunning
11.

raise the compression
headwork (port and polish, valve job, milling, combustion chamber work)
valve springs/retainers aren't going to gain any power, they'll let you run a bigger cam and rev the engine higher, but no power gain from them persay.

Just do bolt ons, any time you open it up, youre jeprodizing reliability, and it's always expensive. Think what it is exactly you're working with. Intake, exhaust, chip. Leave it. There is such a thing as too big exhaust, and too big of an intake, so, be weary of what you put on. Honda designed things they did for a reason.

ok...i am going to be nice and answer this question
1. Headers (it is wise to start with I/H/E and headers is one of them)
2. Cam gear (useless with stock cams)
3. Cam shaft (depending on the specs of the cams, you need higher compression to run more aggressive cams)
4. Springs? (will yield nothing in power)
5. Retainers? (will yield nothing in power)
6. Pistons (high compression pistons will yield power)
7. Intake (see 1)
8. Exhuast (see 1)
9. Tranny? (will help with acceleration, not power)
10. Tunning (will yield power)
11. .....RESEARCH!!!

Springs, Retainers, and the Tranny do absolutely nothing for the amount of power you produce. The springs and retainers are there to handle the extra power at high rpm's, and the tranny will change your power band.
By putting in an LSD into the tranny you can be putting down more power to the ground, but you will not be "producing" more power.
This is a very BROAD thread. I mean you can say header, but are you willing to pay for a good one?
And there is no real best way. But a combination of High CR pistons, Aggressive cams, good intake, header, and exhaust are a very good start. You can also do things like port and polishing.

it's worth getting it if its not a daily driver..
I have a 4.4 FD and honestly.. revving at 4K at 120km/h isn't that fun. Especially with a low revving motor like a b20..
Since you already have a gsr, I would say stick with a gsr tranny, it's a good mix between acceleration with a nice overdrive gear.

What is a good header for the GSR?? i keep reading stuff and one says one thing is good and another says it sucks..
so far from what i see are the
Vibrant
rage
megan
ITR?
anyother that would be good?? or just stick with one of those ones

F1Spec Headers are good, as are the Weapon R Race headers if your on a budget, but want maximum power.
If you want a nice free flowing header and want to spend as little as possible the Megan is an option to consider.
