best tranny for my ls vtec
 

i was wondering right now i have a ls vtec motor with a ls tranny and wanted to get a lsd tranny i have been looking around and have decide between most likely getting a itr tranny or maybe even a ctr tranny

u can get a SIR tranny which has a same ratio with ITR tranny for less but no LSD

but if u want the shortest gears possible without changing FD or aftermarket stuff go with stock ITR tranny

or u can swap the 3rd, 4th and 5th gear in ur LS tranny for aftermarket but it costs over 1000 dollars

the SiR and ITR don't share the same final gear ratio

itr and b16 trannies have different 4th and 5th gears too i believe. this is for the 98+ trannies though. i don't know about the older ones. the 98+ tranny is a hybrid of a b16 (1-3) and gsr (4-5) with a 4.785 fd.

i just need to know the best lsd tranny for the money

i have a b16b tranny i believe the final drive is 4.4 im lookin for longer gears so ill swap someone for the 4th and 5th gear, so if u want shorter gears ill give u mine if u wanna trade me ur ls gears

not sure how much we'd end up payin for labour to do this............

that's about 350-400 for each tranny

so about 800 in total

350-400 doesnt sound so bad.. know any place i can get the LS 4th n 5th gears for cheap? (since no one wants to trade me!)
