In terms of aftermarket stuff, I was really happy with the Apex-i World Sport catback. I had one on my old 1.6EL. Nice and quiet in normal driving (almost stock sounding) but still had a nice (not overly loud) sound when you were in the higher rpm range.

Is the replica Mugen twin loop still available? I know there was group buy in the summer time, but I think that its long gone.

I'm looking for a real Mugen twin loop or a replica will do.

Nova_Dust 30-Dec-2003 03:06 PM

A lot of import store in TO can get you Mugen stuff. I don't wanna start throwing names in the air but ask around and most of them can get you one (i.e. in Pac Mall, FMP... etc)

spracingsports 30-Dec-2003 03:39 PM

jkho the replica MTL muffler is ractive.. i have it and i love the sound

imported_Joker 30-Dec-2003 06:14 PM

Spracingsports,

Thanks man. My friend in Ottawa has the real Mugen TL and its really, really quiet when idling and driving around town and only gets loud when he lays into the throttle. Plus, the quality is amazing!!!

Is this what your Ractive is like?

What was the replica that Jascha was selling in the GB this summer?

I own the above muffler..

Its is very quiet except at WOT..

It replaced a fujitsubo cannister and I am very pleased with it...

Don't ask me for a price cause it was "bartered" for..

Other than that I would look at at RSR and Mugen products..

In the end you get what you pay for..

I personally tend to avoid taiwanese parts..

There are none left at BIP..

bbarbulo 06-Jan-2004 02:44 PM

RSR :yummy: It's finally back on our shores

what did you barter for it Aaron... a few sexual favours maybe :nods:

imported_94EG6HB 06-Jan-2004 02:45 PM

Actually I traded computer work for it..

I only trade sexual favours with you cutie...

RSR is nice, but tanabe is my fancy.

integra-r 09-Jan-2004 11:30 PM

where can i get that rsr cat-back? my mid pipe is leaking.

how much i'm looking at?

imported_Sir_Civik 10-Jan-2004 11:22 AM

I have the tanabe racing medallion and I love it. People think its really loud but its not, at least on my car it isn't. Altough I don't have headers yet, but it has a scilencer too. Farts a bit but I personally like that

Dumb question but for the Mugen Twin Loop do I need a full system for it to sound good? or will the muffler make my 2011 Civic EX sound good?

ol Dusty 02-Apr-2017 11:10 PM

the muffler itself would help, but always need a full system header back to get the full effect.
