bro your question is VAGUE. why don't you try calling around shops for prices. you want everyone who has rims to post how much they got it for? stuff like this, its quicker to search for man. best place to get tires and rims are the states. drive down to buffalo and buy some. the mark up here in canada is like double the price down south.

Start around 1500 for new rims/tires (mounted, balanced, and probably with lugs, too).

Possibilities are endless after that.

Try contacting some of TCC's Affiliates or check the group buy section. There was a Rota buy on recently.

A decent set of starter tires and rims (im assuming you are going 16/17) will cost you anywhere in the range of $1200 to $1400. Whether the price is high or low...it depends on the individual. Goldbadge correctly said....sky is the limit here.

IMO....it is a rip off. Given the fact that you can find good deals on used / partially used sets at a huge bargain. If you are new to the scene, a good option is to buy a used but decent set and go from there...spend literally half the money to begin with.

I must also add that there is no price for passion. Some ppl will spend $1500 on rims alone so its your choice. Get the quotes from our affiliates, local dealers and stores...you will find that the prices are not very different for similar sets.

also the number on the tire say how wide, how tall the sidewall and the size. I.E 205/50/15 means 205mm wide, 102.5mm sideall (50 means 50% of width, 40 would be 40%) and 15" size

You would want 205/45/16 or 205/40/17 as the correct size tire for your car. Go to http://1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp type in your stock tire and the 2 sizes i mentioned, you want them to be less then 2% off ideally and no more then 3%

Also watch the offset you choose, I believe 41-43 is ideal offset if i'm not mistaken, so be carefull about that or it may rub.

And yes, $1500 is a great starting point. Tires also come in speed ratings. V or Z is the best, sticky tires but wear faster then an H rated tire. also the tires wear rating helps desribe it. 300 wear rating is pretty good, usually H rated tire. 200 is fast wearing and usually a Z rated tire.

Common summer only tires are
Kumho 712 or SPT
Toyo Proxes 4 (technically an all-season)
Yohohama ES100
Falken Zeix 512 (technically an all-season)

and the technically all-season, means its rated an all-season, but your ****ed in the head if you use them in winter

first i like to thanks for all the HELPFUL post
as to the question might sound VAGUE...it is rather a simple question. Now if you think you got a good deal on whatever tires/rims combo you got.just put what you got(size...etc)and where you got it.Canada/states where ever and maybe post a pic of it so we can see what it looks like.
Must you go into detail in every single question, even one as simple as this? i was just giving everyone on this borad the benfit of the doubt that we are not all IDIOT!!but then again there is always one that like to think that they are smart.
