Bad: R1 coils, ractive coils, etc.

Good: Skunk2

Best: Tein

If you're going the coilover setup, you might want to look into a full coilover kit (which includes the coilover & the shock).

There is no such thing as good coilovers if you are running stock shocks. Sooner or later you'll have to dish out for new shocks so just do your full suspension setup now.

I've heard that as well . but isin't it true only some coilovers go with some shocks... i.e the ground controls with the koni yellows , will this be an issue If i say bought the skunk2's do i have to buy specfifc shocks to go with them.

I had Skunk2's and Koni Reds, nice ride...if I could do it again I wouldn't buy them. Coilover sleeves suck. For the price of coilover sleeves and new shocks...you might as well get Tein full Coilovers like 1NiceSi said earlier.

I have a hard on for my H&R coilovers, and I've had them for about 2 years. They still ride so nice, handle so well. There are some things that they don't do well, that's... if you're crossing a really busy intersection where heavy trucks often cross... sometimes there are these grooves in the pavement from tire marks. After about the 2nd set of tire marks, you really start to get bounced around in yoru seat. Other than that one unusual circumstance, they are unmatched IMO. I've driven Civics on Apexi, Tanabe, Tein full coilovers, and mine are the most well balanced and best suited for the street/track warrior.

Nothing like finding the natural frequency of your suspension. If I turn onto the main street near my old house at 30 the fenders rub, at 50 they are fine.

Ground control has a specific coilover for Koni shocks. If you are using any other shocks you just order the regular one. If your looking for sleeves, I would say Ground Control. For full coilovers you have numerous options but really depends on your budget.
