Best Bang for your buck?????
 

im looking into getting full coilovers i was thinking between the omni's that are $899 or the pic's which are about $30 cheaper
also are there any other better ones for around the same price???

so the megan and k2 are better coilovers for the same price range???

where would i be able to buy these

I am not saying they are better (sorry I kinda avoided your question), but just giving you some more selections if that is the price range you are after.

Just about every performance parts store carries Megan. K2 you can search the web.

To be honest, adjustable height is a little overrated. You hardly ever adjust it once the height is set and alignment is done. The height is really there for corner weighting and unless you are into racing, corner weighting is useless for everyday driving.

Koni Yellow with a decent coilover sleeve (with nice and stiff spring rates) can be another good choice.

but nova....coilover sleeves are harsh dont you think? i drove a friend's car (kyb with skunk 2 sleeves)..cornering was good but overall ride wasnt comfortable.

but i guess depends what he is looking for....

I guess my ride is harsh to some, but I like it.

Stiff spring rates need to pair with the right shock.

The big key in the coilovers that have independent height adjustability (separate from spring tension) is that you can lower the car without losing shock travel. When you use a lowering spring or coilover sleeve, the shock will be partially compressed and you lose that shock travel.

But again - charles has it right it all depends on what type of driving you do.

When i think back 6 or 7 years ago when coilovers were still all in the 2000$+ range, its no coincidence that you used to hear so much about people riding on springs like neuspeed and H&R race (with big drops) blowing their shocks partially due to the aggressive drop and shocks being so compressed.

im not into racing i want to lower my car and maintain the stock feel to the ride

you will only maintain a stock feel for the ride if you don't lower it... once you lower it and put firm shocks on, goodbye comfortable ride... i've said it once, and i'll say it again. IMO... best ride quality(not too harsh), but with good handling characteristics...

H & R Sport w Koni Red (if you want yellows go ahead, but waste of money if you don't go to the track...)

or H&R Sport with Tokico Whites...also a good combo.

There are several trusted vendors on honda-tech that offer some wicked prices on full coilovers like D2 and Teins.
i am probably going to be driving to NY to pick up a set of D2s sometime in the coming months.

The Pics are 130 cheaper (770 vs 899).

aren't you riding on spoon coilovers charles?

I've been in alot of different car with several different suspension setups, and I can honestly say that if you're looking for a modest lowering with near stock comfort, Tein S-tech springs are the way to go, that being said I have Yonaka coilovers, also priced similarly to PIC and Omni, PIC's weren't out when I got them, if I were buying now, I'd probably go with PIC.

If you want a really good deal on coilovers, look around on the honda-tech sponsor forum...that's where I picked up my full coilover sets for under 800.00 while shops up here were selling them up here for 900+

especially when the OMNI coilovers came out, I picked mine up brand new with k2 LCA's for 700.00 CDN while option jdm was selling them for some price of 999.99

I've run k2, Zeal, OMNI and Tein SS and all were good but all were fairly expensive except the Omni setup....which is a good bang for your buck.

i had the Omni's for some time now and i can definatly say im 100% satisify with my choice. i have used a bunch of different shock and spring combos before and i think the omni's are great!
