Benen Product

The orginal thread was lost during forum upgrade.

I was asking what is a Strong Bar? Is that the replacement for OEM front steel bar?

Also, I see the price between Benen and Spoon are around the same range, are they pretty much the same quality material?

It was my understanding from one of their posts on ebay a while back that it replaced the rebar under the bumper and as such saves 30 lbs off the frontmost part of the car. But I went to their website to check on the master cylinder brace, and I didn't see sheeyat about the strong bar that would confirm my earlier belief. So if you are serious, call them and ask

Ya cause in the GB section, SW20 made a post about Benen products and a strong bar is for like 240 or something. I need one if it replaces the rebar.

Ok smartass, so where in the world does it fit on the back??? Does it replace the rear rebar, or is it like a lower tie brace or what? Why doesn't anyone make a front rebar out of aluminium or better yet, carbon fiber?

That's what I'm saying, their site is vague... I mean I believed it was a rebar for the longest time LOL Best to call and find out before ordering.

It does look like a rebar, to me anyway. I mean that is one helluva piece of metal for a rear low tie bar...

I am not sure if SW20 works for SpeedState, but that shop seems to be located in Scar. I might visit the shop then.

Well, I called SpeedState, and they said they are not selling Benen products at the moment, but that bar goes at the end definitely. It is not a replacement for OEM front rebar, and there is not aftermarket front rebar.

Blah....
