battery dead...

anyone know if canadian tire or any place can test my battery to check if theres any juice left in it. If so how much do they usually cost? I tried starting my car after I washed it today and it died out of no where. I boosted her up, I ran it around the block and tried starting it a couple minutes later and dead again. So I want to test out the battery b/c if it's fine im going to install my spare alternator I have lying around here.
Damn no BBQ for me tonight
stupid car
