BallPark swap $

HEY guys im thinking about picking up this rust free 89 civic for 500 and swaping in either the LS engine or b16a1 can someone give me a ball park figure onhow much this would cost?
this could save me alot of trouble

uummmm u guys have me kinda confused...........has anyone had a b16 or ls engine swap done. I want to know the final cost including labour and ****.

It all depends on whether you shop around, how much you wanna source out yourself, how much prep you do on the car.... how good a motor you buy, how good the mount kit is, etc.

You wanna know for sure, call Altech or RT.

yea id pretty much provide them with everything then just get them to drop it and wire it and stuff. they would have to remove the existing motor

there's a guy redcivic or reddx or some **** on this board that does swaps on his own for possibly cheap....not sure...check into it....but b16a1 will be 3000-4000 with everytign doen liek timign belt and water pump and clucth....everythign to maek it run good.....you might want to consider a zc....

H22A - $7000 installed, 200+ hp
B18C5 - $6500 installed, 195 hp (close to 6g)
B18C1 - $5000 installed, 170-180 hp
B16A2 - $4000 installed, 160 hp
B18B - $3000 installed, 140 hp
D16Y8 - $2000 installed, 128 hp

h22 price seems really high since you can get the complete engine tranny etc for 2500 even tho the mounts are $$

H22 is mainly the mount and labour cost, the engine itself is rather reasonable priced.

eew..u can find b18a1 motors for like 400-700....b16a1 around 1200-1500

ya but we are talking installed.....b16a1 gogin price is a standard 1300 give or take 100 bux...but I'd try to talk them down...jsut go in with cash and say how about 1100 bux cash right now....

Splitfire charged me $1500 as a basic install price (parts extra). They're fast too, the engine was out one night, and the new motor was in and running by the next day in the evening.
