Bad ground possibly?
I know zeeman has heard about this problem from team rukus already today but i am just looking to possibly get some other inputs to make sure.
heres the deal
97 civic coupe
swapped in motor
car ran like 5 times after the engine was installed but had to be boosted...
today tried to boost the car with cables connected to another car.
sparks like crazy and ground wire from the block to the rad support starts to heat up and smoke.
the wires are a bit frayed on it already....
now with new battery the cars lights come on, everything sounds normal, but fuel pump won't start and the car won't even attempt to start.
also, jay tried to put the negative connection on the new batt with the positive already on and it pretty much melted part of the battery terminal.
possible solutions?
help!~...i hope that was easy to understand and i hope this is the right section..hehehe

Sounds like a bad short somewhere, something is severely wrong. I would check your starter ground and power connections, all 3 body grounds, your alternator charge wire (large white one) and just start eliminating things.
