Is it bad..... ?

Ok, I put my rims on a week ago and I noticed that when I turn my wheels FULLY while turning, I hear "cahcsahcshahcashdcdh".

I know it is my tire rubbing against my fender, I wont bend my fender over time will I ?

i have stock rims etc... and when i used to have power steering i noticed it made a weird noise when cranked all the way either way... i thought it was rubbing but there is no signs of rubbing and it doesn't make the noise anymore

could be a wheel bearing....how much wider are the tires than stock?.. could be hitting the inner fender liner...but thats a bit of a strech

could be many things:

1) rubbing

2) powersteering making noise... on my dad's mini van it's annoying

3) CV boot and CV joint going...

4) possible Ball joint...

I'd suggest you turn the wheel to full lock in each direction and check for rubbing with each tire in each direction.. thats easy to do ... open the hood and have a buddy turn the wheel .. is the noise comingfrom uder the hood (power steering then..)

if not jack up front of car and lock the wheel straight (remove keuys and turn wheel so that it locks) take each tire top and bottom and shake is there play? yes upper ball joint... take each wheel front and back and shake is there play? yes lower joint (I think) if it's not that then it's the CV joint new axle needed...

I hope this helps

I am about 100% it is rubbing because when I drove the car before it didn't make this noise.

Also, i try to put my finger ontop of my tire inside my wheel well, my finger can barely make it. So that makes me around 95% sure it is my tire rubbing the inner liner or the fender.

The sound is more like a thud thud thud thud then when it i turn it a bit (away from fender/inner liner) it is fine.

And oh yeah, i dont have power steering.

well the only way to tell is to move the wheel from full lock to full lock and check for rubbing...... it ain't hard....

yes it's bad and yes it is possible to bend your fneder... if your steering doesn't have fully movement and you got to do a highspeed avoidance manuver to avoid something ...guess what you ain't avoiding???

Mine dont rub, and I have 16's on as well.

Might be a balljoint or CV joint.
