b18c5 w/ cams vs b18c1 w/ cams and more?

b18c5 w/ cams vs b18c1 w/ cams and more?

spend the same overall money on the engine by either means which would you take and why?

well a b18c5 with cams and the stock 4-1 2.5 collector woudl probobly be better for the higher compression, if you were gonna put the same cams in the c1 and c5 the c5 woudl give better results, nto to mention the c1 you woudl want a skunk 2 or similar manifold. But a c1 is cheaper but the c5 comes with better manifold's intake and exhaust so...

well thats just it... would the added money from buying the C1 be worth while in other engine mods over a c5 with just cams?

i'm leaning towards the c5 with cams personally just cause of whats on the inside, both head and bottom end over what a c1 comes with, but just looking for thoughts on the subject

i'd say c5 w/cams too. Why start with a crappier platform?

was just curious if doing other things to a gsr would be worth it is all, i was leaning towards the c5 just because of how they are built and all but never know if theres more out there

if u plan on going turbo then get a c1 but for N/A c5 is the way to go.

Exactly!

If I had a C5, it would be an all motor monster! One day...I can only dream in the mean time.

definately not turbo'ing, if i was i wouldn't be spending that much on the initial swap anyways
