imported_spl_civic

after my recent discovery of the piston ring wear in my engine i've decided that i'm gonna rip open the engine and do some maintenance...

what i'm wondering is, when i have everything open, what else should i change...

timing belt? waterpump?
what performance stuff would be good in a b18b1
would type r pistons be a good choice?

looking for any input whatsoever

what are you lookin to do with the motor? boost?

if the rings are gone you're looking at a mild rebuild of the bottom end at the very least. that means new bearings, gaskets, honing of the cylinders, and some other little things.

I'm nto sure what kinda compression type r's woudl give in a b18 with the non vtec head but I woudl assuem it woudl be int eh mid to low 11:1's but ya it woudl be a good chioce for allmotor but nto fi if you paln that down the road
