because the guy ran it as stock be4 it failed mixerable so i had it run as a hotrod because of the engin swap thats why the denominations went up on the 2nd test

Hydrocarbon emissions result from incomplete fuel combustion and from fuel evaporation.

Carbon monoxide forms when carbon in fuel doesn't burn completely (incomplete combustion)

When was the last time you changed you plugs/wires/cap & rotor?

I am a liscenced emisssions repair and inspector. In my professional opinion, I would be be looking more towards an o2 that isnt reading properly. Check the o2 function.

i am a licenced and certified emissions inspector and personally the guy wasn't doing his job properly if he ran it as stock the first time. supposed to check under the hood at all times to see if it is classed as a hotrod. complain and get some kind of refund or free runn at it again.

change plugs and gap em, spray the connections on the wires or replace, and check connections on the rotor and in the cap if baddly corroded replace the cap and rotor.

after the second time you didnt do too bad, check those things that i and the others said(plugs wires and cap and rotor) and you will be surprised how much everything else plus the HC's will drop.

good luck.

ok i ran it a 3rd time and failed again im going 2 do all the things u said and try it again

i was told today there is probly something wrong with wireing or fuel management curcit SP

its dumping fuel at idle its good at 40kph but at idle its poaring fuel in the motor

u can hear it kinda backfireing at idle and be4 wen i had no cat it would backfire at lights and stuff

this has been an ongoing problem since i had this motor installed

Today i replaced that thing on the fuel rail with vacume line on it.
Fuel filter and tried 2 mess with the timeing but nomatter were i put the dizzy nothing changed from fully forward 2 fully retard made no diferance in the rev at all wierd eh????

I believe its the O2 as well cause i failed my 1st time but i had done the cap & rotor/plugs/wires/gas filter. Than i changed my O2 and passed easily. I got a used one for 50bucks from Lucky Star.

I don't think that will be your problem.

Your B18 had to run nicely in the donor car correct? Your still using the same engine/wiring/ecu correct?

Do you even know what causes backfiring? Fyi: It's either unburnt fuel entering your HOT exhaust and ing. there, or it could be your timing is way out.

I would at least see about changing the spark plugs, & cap & rotor at least. $10 (for 4) for plugs & $30 for an OE cap & rotor.

it only used 2 backfire if i downshifted then stopped but new its not realy a backfire its kinda a gurgley pop sound

yea and timeing i duno what im going 2 do about that i move the dizzy and nothing hapens its verry wierd

yes im useing the same stuff as be4 i had a b18a1 in there be4

i blew that 1 up and replaced it with the same thing im useing all the same dizzy and everythin just the motor has changed and the intake manafold is the only thing thats not the same but thats just a chunk of metal that cant change ****

its verry confuseing '

im puting the motor in another car in like a month so it wil need 2 be etested then so i might just run without a sticker until i get the other car on the road the ticket is what 110$ wil proly cost me more than that 2 test it again and fix it

the fake ones now are like 300$ i was told is this true???

$110 and possible tow. Plus you can get more than 1 ticket for the same missing sticker. Another time or another day it doesn't matter. trust me on that one.

You might want to spend a few bucks and take it to a tech that knows what he / she is doing. $110 to the gov or $100 to a tech that at least diagnose or fix your ride.

When was the last time you cleaned or changed out your air filter?

My buddy said it could be an EGR problem. Does a B18 have an egr????

You could always try that never fail **** from CT.

Did you change out your PCV valve?

What kind of intake are you running? Stock/SR/CA?
