Hey guys my buddy has a 91 ls 4 dr teg and the other nite we were driving normal an he went to **** to 3rd an it jus died an shut off it still turns over fine but theres no spark? what do you guys think it is? any help would be much apprichiated thank you in advance.

There's no spark?

Could be a few things. Quick fix would be obviously swapping distributor's to see if it is the icm/coil or even the crank sensor.

If not I'd pick up a haynes manual and a multi-meter and diagnosis the coil and icm (both are common to take a **** on honda's) Another quick check you can do.. is check if all four plugs are getting spark if one cylinder is getting spark then it's definately not your coil. I've even seen some causes were it's the ecu that's fried, so before you go replacing parts always diagnosis it.

BTW how did you check for spark? Did you check at all four cylinders?

Hey man thanks alot got it fixed it acctually snapped the timing belt an we were lucky enough that it worked after we did it which took 5 hours haha but was a good time thanks alot man

And that's good.

My TB skipped a few teeth on my b20, thankfully it didnt harm anything.
