b16civic, ?? for you

are D16 oil pumps interchangable, and if so, which oil pump is best for it's pressure and volume?? it's my understanding that Y8 pumps are very weak in terms of pressure. How are Y7 pumps, and if Z6 pumps are better, will they swap in? Need good oil pump to ensure long life of turbo and bottom end too.

guess ill add B16 oil pump to my list of things to get:).

nice thread, waiting for a positive answer though.... I can bring out a y8 pump & pickup to the next meet if someone has a b16 one for reference????

red90dx, we'd need to flow test it, both volume and pressure. looking at them won't give us positive results. I'll search...

Are there no aftermarket ones ?

toda, spoon, progear have applications for B-series pumps, not d-series.

steve, any chance you can write the specs shown in the shop manuals? I don't have the honda shop manuals easily accessible.
