in my opinion, the ITR motor is "better" cuz of the usable power and tq compared to the 1.6L. and it's cheaper than the CTR motor as well.

i agree.
I'd go with the ITR over the CTR if you're after more torque. You can re-use everything that you've already got in your car now on the ITR.

I remember the B16B and B18c5 where in the $5k range.

IMO I would go with the B18C1 or C5 over the B16B for every day street use.

You have a B16A2, and B18C8/B16B are all the same mounting position.

yup, it should drop rite into your car. you should probably try to find an ITR ECU as well though (P73 i think?)...and if you're getting the ITR tranny as well, that would be the best way to go (JDM ITR Tranny).

The LSD that comes with the tranny in the ITR/CTR (and some optional JDM B16's/B18's) is worth it's weight in gold when it comes to traction and cutting down on understeer.

you might need a new header as well incase your B16 header is too short (unless the ITR/CTR motor comes with one) in length since both of these motors share a higher deckheight.

The only major difference from all the b series engines is whats inside the motor....out side they are all pretty much identical.

Don't do It if you have a coupe.....B16's are only good in something under 2300lbs... Thats my oppinion anyways. Id totally rock a B16b in a hatch.....but in a coupe?...forget it.

go back and read a few of the things that already have been posted.

search a site called "honda-tech" as well if you need more info.

as stated before; a B16B is essentially a de-stroked ITR motor.

don't feel bad for asking questions. we all learn in the end.
