Question B16a2 Swap........

Hey Guys,
I just wanted some feedback. Has anyone done a B16a2(JDM) Motor Swap with a 6th gen Civic Si???

I just wanted some comments on the B16a2(JDM) preformance in comparison with the stock SOHC.

I will also being changing back to the world of standard. Thank GOD!!!!!

I have been told that I will be giving up my air conditioning and power steering. Giving up the power steering is all good it's giving up the Air. Ouch!!!! This makes me VERY VERY SAD!!!!!!

Ohhh what cars did the B16a2 engines come in??? is it an Integra GS-R??? and in what years???

Thanks lads.

I am doing the swap through a local pro shop. How much are the parts through your guy.

The swap is costing me $4200.00. This is for a B16a2 engine, a standard tranny, a new water pump, a new timiming belt, and a new centreforce clutch and installation. ohh and a 6 month power-train warrenty. It's a pretty good deal since this is also a auto to standard converstion.

I think I'll stick with the pro-shops guy for the warrenty. Thanks anyways.

bro the b16a2 comes out of a 2000 honda civic sir thats usdm or if u want hte jdm one thats out of a ek sedan.

the amount ur paying for ur swap is okay not the best and is a bit high.

the swap itself is a direct bolt on type since the engine comparments the same on the ek's. so if u got all the parts u can do the swap urself. u dont need to loose ANYTHING on this swap unlike the h22 where u do loose the ac n **** but now they got ways of keeping those in aswell now

let it be known a B16A2 is not a JDM motor... JDM motors don't have numbers as the last character in their ID.
