B16A2 or B18C1

I am planning to do a swap but I don't know wish one is better

for me. I will be going turbo in a year after the swap and my goal

is to have 250whp. How many whp will I be looking at with a

B16A2+turbo without any major mod and I need the car to be

reliable too. Because the B18C1 is kind of expensive for me right

now and if they are much better than the B16A2 then I will save

up more money. Also I need the all these to be installed.

Which shop is better between Altech and Leitner ?

I hear the B18b is good to turbo and cheap too. There's no Vtec but still kicks B16 *** in the low end

it'll be easier with the 1.8L... it'd cost more now but probably less down the road since you wouldn't need to run as much boost as you would with a 1.6L... although its doable on both i'd imagine

if your going turbo then b18b wiht gsr tranny will be what you want to get for cheapness and reliability....nto to mention it can run on regular gasoline right now that the gas is so expensive so it's mroe economical and a better starting base for boost

If your on a budget, B16A2 and boost later...

OR, if you can afford. Definitely B18C1 and boost later..

My belief is if the engine came NA, stay NA. If it came with a turbo, then get a bigger turbo. I do love power and turbo, but...

You want a reliable engine, modify it in its original form. That's my 2 cents.
