B16A1 trouble
i was hoping you guys could maybe help me out my car is misfiring at any constant speed i think it might be the ignitor in the dizzy can i just buy a new one or can i swap it out and put in like a si one or mix and match parts from another dizzy

misfiring is generaly caused by worn-out spark-plugs,spark plug wires and distributor cap and rotor. I think your car is due for a tune_up ;-)

replaced the plugs it had bosch +4 i put in NGK G-POWER..... wires are like 4 days old along with the cap and rotor ...........does anyone know what else the problem might be.....?

did u change or take off the timming belt?

like chris_98 said, you probally have the wires going in the wrong plugs/in the cap. make sure its in the right order.

JUSTIN i know some of the spelling is messed I have the same problem in my b16, i took a look at the coil and it had a crack in it... take apart your distributor and check that. Older honds had a problem with the ignitors as well, and ive checked around i havent found any other parts that you can mix and match from other distributors not even the b16a2. Also check the fuel filter if its plugged. Does your misfire go away when you give it full throttle? |
