id say screw the b18c1 bottom which has a 81mm bore go with a b20 bottom end which is dirt cheap and has a 84 mm bore. i did a b16 head with b20b bottom and pulled approx 168hp and 130fp of torque. its a big difference than a stock b16.

not a big power increase but your whole powerbadn will be beefier

only issue is your compression drops to probobly under 10:1

so get soem p30 (b16) pistons for the b18c block and your set...then soem cams and your rolling

still wont be much gain with a b18c block. youll be better off with a b20b. no replacement for displacment.

My last motor was a b16a head on a gsr block with an ls crank. The setup work extremely well. The great thing about the gsr block is it still retains the oil squirters that cool the skirts of the pistons for high rpm use. The b18a/b and the b20a/z lack these oil squirters.

I say go for it.....

ha, what about the other way around? a b16 block with a gsr head... i bet it wouldn't make much power, but i wonder how its powerband would be.
