check your grounds. Should be one on the valve cover, one on the thermostat housing and one big fat one on the tranny going to the frame, and of course from the battery to the body of the car. Also make sure the ground on the starter is hooked up.

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 12:51 PM

all hooked up maybe a bad connection

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 01:01 PM

i want to get some new groud wire like that sterio type coated wire .. i think its the one on the valve cover cuz it broke and i just connected it the best way i could .. but i wouldnt have thought it would do what its doing over just one ground

zeeman 19-Nov-2005 01:57 PM

yeah i've had the car get no power because 1 ground wasn't hooked up. But it wasn't the valve cover ground. You might want to try sanding down the metal where the grounds attach (thermostat housing, tranny, frame, etc).

what if the ground on my starter ?
what if the started is f--ked??
i over heated it when i tried turning over my siezed engine. i stoped when i saw it smoke ???

i was hopin it was still okay!

cuz i only tried to turn it over 3 times b4 i saw smoke

zeeman 19-Nov-2005 02:14 PM

if your starter was smoking i would assume its prolly toast. But i don't see why that would cause your car to not get any power at all. Unless it fried some wires.

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 02:25 PM

the frame ground was damaged so i gotta fix
its turning over but it wont catch i know im low on fuel cuz i ran it low .

the fuel injectors wires were pulled from the plastic contector's if put them back but i dont know if i cross them the wrong way would that cause it not to turn over which im assuming so ?? which is the best way to find out the proper way to make sure they are in the right place ?? if you dont know what im talkin about the connector wires there all hooked up though just no go

zeeman 19-Nov-2005 02:34 PM

So you don't have clips on your injectors?
well the red/black wire should always go on the left side (standing in front of the engine facing the firewall)
These colors are for the right side of the injector
#1 brown
#2 red
#3 grey (possible blue i am colour blind)
#4 yellow
hope this helps.

going to try

i have the plastic connector the wires just tore out from it so im having trouble loctation where they were before they tore out going to try it now brb

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 02:53 PM

i had 2 red wires one red had a black line that was the left one. cuz one of them didint tear out so i put all black red wries to the left.. since my alt belt is still not on my battery is getting weaker

also i put fresh fuel in the car has been on a tilt for 2-3 months im assuming that would not help getting fuel to engine ???

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 02:58 PM

goin to parkway to get my belt ttyl

DefconDave 19-Nov-2005 05:21 PM

It's gotta be grounds, fuses or battery terminals. good luck

yet anoter problem on start up! ??

turned over no go! Oil Everyware ?

under the distributor is all oilly (headgasket) ????

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 06:13 PM

any chance would this be the oil ring in the head? ???

zeeman 19-Nov-2005 08:08 PM

could be the cam seal or dizzy o-ring. Did you recently change the headgasket and maybe put it on backwards?

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 08:27 PM

i dont think its the cam seal it looks dry
whats the dizzy o-ring ???

if the - ring is misplaced u think it would leak over ??? i think thats the problem

zeeman 19-Nov-2005 08:55 PM

Its the rubber o-ring on the shaft of the distributor. If there was no o-ring there it would probably piss oil everywhere.
The cam seal is a very common source of an oil leak on b-series engines, although it may not look like its leaking from there.
It could also be the vtec solenoid to cylinder head seal.
This b16 swap has been nothing but problems for you. Hope you get things going good soon.

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 08:57 PM

okay in the head there is a oil ring there youi know what im sayin when you hcange a head gasket there is a lil ribber the size of an advil ,, i dont think i replaced that i can take the head apart to see if so what do you think ??

imported_SIR_Injected 19-Nov-2005 09:01 PM

i belive its under the cam
