couple of questions for a b16a motor...
1. Whats the difference between the a1, a2, a3 b16's???

2. Do all the different generation b16s mount to LSD trannys such as the type r trannies??

3. Which b16 would be best for EK...because i see some distributors put the year of the car that the engine came out of...eg. 92-95 Civic B16a2....

4. Lastly where can i get JUST a b16a motor no tranny, so basically a long block

your best bet would be to find a USDM b16a2. Its obd2 and will work very well in your EK.

JDM b16a 2nd gen is very common, 3rd gen is what you would need to be direct plug and play in your ek, I dont see much of those around at japanese import shops however.

for a longblock, i'd check classifieds etc... Most Japanese import shops normally like to sell complete engines only.
