b16 white smoke from exhaust, head gasket question??
So I just finished a b16 swap into my ef civic and it run good for two days or so. The only bolt on mods I added were a fuel rail, fuel regulator, air intake, and hi flow cat. So now the car is blowing alot of white smoke out of the exhaust. From my research I'm lead to believe that my head gasket went to crap. I wanna do a compression test but was wondering if it will be accurate with this problem? I've already checked alot of things but almost every site says head gasket regarding to the white smoke issue. please help

ur engine is burning a oil ????

no, there is no blue smoke at all coming from he exhuast

A compression test will tell you what you want to know. If the headgasket is blown you will have low compression in 1 or more cylinders.
|
alright i'll be checking soon. Is it ok to let the car sit for a week , cause I'm really busy, and can't get to it until then?
|
yeah not driving it would be a good idea.
|
no i'm not driving the car

do a leakdown test, its alot more accurate than a compression test. and white smoke is definitely burning coolant somewhere.
