B16 in ek ecu problem

I'm having a swap done to my 98 si EK coupe. A 00 USDM B16A2 is going in and the only thing I don't have is the harness and ecu. I've searched to boards and have come to 2 conclusions.

1. I can get an OBD2 to OBD1 harness conversion and get a P28 chipped to work.

2. I can get an SiR ecu from usdm 99-00 b16A2, and while using my stock harness, he'll get a jumper or rewire for the third socket (since it does not fit).

I'm sooo confused and I have to make a purchase today or tomorrow for the swap this weekend. Can anyone help me with any advice. Any suggestions as to where I can get them would be good too. Thanks.

I'm sure many have gotten a USDM B16 swapped into their EK and I believe many will in the future sooo..

Oh by the way, Scott93HBsi is out of the country, and ScottNewman is doing the install for me (he is going the second route I believe).

well if ScottNewman is doing the work what are you worried about? Let him deal with it.
Personally, i would convert it to obd1, simply because if you ever want to start modding the engine obd1 ecus are super tuner-friendly.

I have an OBD 2 to 1 converter with a p28 in my EK that has a b16 swap. The harness costs like $100 though so I would say trust Scott and just get the stock ECU for now.

I do trust him. We have had no time to talk. That's all. So i got paranoid. Thanks all. I'm doing no mods to it except i/h/e. which I already have. So I'm good! thanks!
