B16 Air Intake??
I have a 1991 Civic hatch back SE model and I bought a JDM B16 first gen motor for a swap. It should arrive here by next week. I have everything including shafts, Linkage, Motor mounts, ECU etc. The only thing I dont have for it is the intake. I do have a cold air intake from my stock engine, does anyone know if this will work or do I need to buy one for the B16? Thanks

it will fit...some say the pipe diameter is too small but I dont think so...2.5" is about the same that the stock platic air box and piping is anyways

I hope so, I have everything on order and I dont want to have the install complete and wait for a dam intake to come in on order. The motor itself does not come with a factory intake or airbox. Cant wait to get started on this swap. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Does anybody else know an answer to this?

it WILL fit, i re-used the short-ram intake off my d16z6 on my b16 when i did my swap. I had a cheap ass intake with a internal pipe diameter of 55mm....the throttle body is 60mm, it still fit and worked fine, but i bought a 3" SRI shortly after when i decided to build the head.
So like cynikal said, you'll be fine. |
