B&M Shift Kit Help?

I'm picking mine up today. I'm looking forward to short crispy shifts. Any chance of someone being able to do the install for me? I will pay, obviously. It would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Please post here or send me a message.

I paid Focus to do it for me...didn't have the time to do it anyways.

Where did you get your kit for and how much? Do these come with the shifter bushings? If so I might pick one up and we can do the install together or something.

I just got my B&M short shifter today from Focus Rims & Performance in Hamilton. Paid $98 (tax including) for the shifter and bushings. Now I just need to install it. Can anyone help me?

if you can change your oil, you will have no problem installing the shifter kit, its pretty easy....

installing shifters sucks...rolling around on the ground and stuff, its easy as pie but a pain in the royal ****...its only a 5 bolt affair but in the heat under a car on the ground, it aint fun...but I did mine that way 3 weeks ago

i have to agree with cynikal... it's theoretically an easy job, but if you encounter corroded linkage parts like i did, it slows you down some... ended up having to make the extension mounting bracket from some 1" flat bar, because mine was completely rusted in two! Lol no wonder every gear felt like neutral...

Having said that i am completely in love with my B+M (and energy suspension bushings), tight as a nun's habit, highly recommended

I just installed the B&M shifter in my car this week. What a difference it makes. WOW!!!

... and this article was just so easy to follow. I'd recomend it to anyone who wants to DIY.

There's only one complaint I have about the shifter. Being straight instead of bent I have to reach farther for it whenever the car is in 1st, 3rd or 5th gears. Other than that I'm loving it.
