Auto to Standard Converstion.

I was wondering if there was any shop in the Toronto or GTA area that does this sort of work.

I own a 97 Civic Si. Does anyone know what the going price is for this type of converstion????

Thanks Guys.

Might as well do a swap while you're at it.

I sent you a PM.

I have been calling around and I found a shop out in Guelph that recommended that I change the engine too.

He went on to say that to convert the tranny over to standard using the stock engine 97 Si engine it would be about $2700.00.

For him to convert the engine to a B16A2 -JDM with standard tranny it would be $4000.00 tax in. The math on this one is evident.

New Engine and standard tranny here I come.....

I'll be before long

Wow $2700 wtf?

I paid $1500 for my conversion and got a 99 D16Y8 + manual tranny dumped in my 94 civic.

Yeah the guy mentioned that it was expensive because the 97 has some sort of issue regarding mounts. A few shops have told me the same thing, so I know he isn't Bullshittin me.

well what did he tell you about the mounts? I dont think its true because I had a prob with my tranny moutn because you need to buy a MANUAL tranny mount from honda and weld it in, I had to get that done on mine.

I think a few other things have to be relocated within the engine compartment. To be 100% honest with you I kinda tuned out when he explained it.

I was just amazed that it will only cost me $4000 for a better engine and standard tranny.

I thought engine swaps were huge dollars.
