What kind of mods do you have?
If you have regular stuff like an air intake, headers, etc. I have read about how some people recommend resetting the ecu for it to properly "calibrate" itself to the new mods. I believe this is not necessary because the ecu has the capability to do this on its own.
If you want to tune your auto ecu, it can only be done with an AFC hack, e-manage, or a full standalone that supports the auto ecu. Unless you have forced induction, no need to go here.

if its just mods like intake, headers, exhaust then dont worry about it.u only need tuning when u get serious like big cams and stuff like that.

huh, well thats pretty much all the stuff i have hedr, cai undr drive pully, cat bak,,but i swear i keep redin that no mod is complete without fine tunin the ecu,,but thanx 4 the info, anything else is also welcome thx.http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...o/100_4907.jpg

no you should be fine u cant really tune those things.those are bolt on's and they sound exactly like they are u bolt them on adn thats it.just think about it how are you going to tune a header its just a peice of metal u know.

lol, huh??

you dont tune the specific parts, you tune the engine to compensate for the differences the items are making, i.e headers and intake will mean your getting air in and out of the engine faster so u need to compensate for that by adding more fuel... etc etc

imported_2join performance 15-May-2006 08:31 PM

^^ Exactly, but with headers, and an intake, the difference is so negligable that fine tuning would be a waste of money. You might gain 5hp if you are lucky. Not worth it unless you can do it yourself. Plus with such minor changes the ecu is capable of compensating.

yes i agree that with those mods, tuning is not going to help you out too much...

i understand what your saying but what i mean is those accesories arent really meant to be tuned.the dyno time to actually tune those items would outprice the item your tuning itself which is pretty useless.
