To all of you who are turbo'd, where did you get your car dyno/street tuned? Also, did they do your install as well?

Just curious to know what shops in the Toronto area are known for installing and good tuning. Also your experience there.

I figured there would be at least a few of you guys self-tuning. I would love to learn how...eventually. Only thing i'm afraid about when it comes to the self install is running the oil lines to the pan. Also, installing the T-line to the pressure sensor.

bah.. not a problem at all..

the oil return fitting needs to be welding to the oil pan though.

The oil feedline can be a bit tricky to put on.. but it's nothing too hard. Getting the pressure sensor's boot off is probably the hardest part. (which isn't too hard)

if your looking to save money and get the exact if not better service to install and tune your turbo kit i would highly recommed chris and zeeman....

chris just finished installing and unistalling his full turbo kit so he knows exactly what hes doing, and zeeman is just zeeman if you are in the performance section alot you know what im talking about.....the guys amazing he knows just about everything and knows his tunning very well......

both this guys are extremely trustworth and might even show you some new skills :thumbup: big ups to these guys

From what i read on here, Zeeman is the man. Their is also Neetronics up in Mississauga but he moved so i forgot the exact location.

in regards to chris and zeeman, what are you guys familiar with..Hondata s2/300, crome/cromepro, neptune?

well i hear good things about TAG racecraft and Paul at Neetronics, but other than that you might be taking a chance.
I can tune with TurboEdit/BRE/CromePro and Hondata/Neptune/AEM if you have the software that comes with it. Its all basically the same thing.
I don't know why anyone would spend the money on hondata, neptune, AEM or motec when crome has all of the same features as those expensive units. I especially like the fact that with crome you still maintain the use of the factory ecu. Crome can do datalogging and real time programming and has corrections for things like IAT (intake air temperature), ECT (engine coolant temperature), bigger injectors, different MAP sensors and can allow the factory ecu to see boost. So getting great daily driveability, gas mileage and maximum power is very acheiveable using crome and only takes a few hours of street tuning or $$$ dyno tuning.
All in all, i would say, use whatever your tuner is most comfortable with and what he recommends.

chris installed his setup, but i built it including mounting and modification to the intercooler, his adapter plate, all the chargepiping with the bov flange, stainless downpipe...

i did my own setup and andrew tuned it for me. i've done downpipes, manifolds and charge piping for a few people.

Andrew, I did some reading on cromepro (3 hours or so of reading) and that seems to be the most cost effective way with the most features, as you stated. What do you use to connect the laptop to the ECU?

i use an ostrich for real time programming and a hondalog to datalog.
Aarons boosted b17 setup was tuned by me (sort of...2 hours of street tuning, it needs more...hint hint arron) with crome.

no i took my a/c out.

I didn't really want it.. but its possible to keep your a/c. The manifold I used was too big.

Another question...when it came time for you guys to get emission tested, did the turbo cause you to fail? If so, how did you get around it?
