anyway to extend the life of a PS Pump?

Basically the power steering fuild is leaking out from the pump.. not sure exactly where, pretty sure it's the seals around it.. is there anyway for me to salvage it for a while longer? Like stick some sorta compound all around it to slow it down, or whatever..

It's for a friend's camry, the damn pump is underneath near passenger side..

Thanks!!

Lucas power steering fluid, its really thick so it dont go through the seals. Use it full strength if you leak alot, or 50/50 if your leaking only a little.

Yeah that's obvious Punk.. but the guy can't afford any now.. I may just disconnect the PS and let him drive it like that..

Kwik, thanks I'll look into that..

I think I read somewhere where you can add ATF in there...tends to be a little thicker but it's very close to Pwr Steering Fluid.

The only way to extend the life of your PS is don't start your engine. for leaks, try you can try that "stop leakf" stuff, but I don't think it's gonna work. the best bet is to call up some junk yard and fins a used 1 for cheap.
