Anyone using Seafoam Have Problems with their Catalytic Converter?
I just read some interesting posts elsewhere about people having problems with Seafoam clogging their Cats after use. I know it states on the bottle that it is safe to use on Cats and O/2 sensors but I myself often wonder if it is really safe.
People have said seafoam can cause your cat to overheat and die pre-maturely or clog it. Myself I have had 2 Cats get clogged\die on me in 3 years and when I thought about it, I had done seafoam previous to them dying. Any one else have an opinion? I think I am going to stop using seafoam though from now on.

I have used Seafoam several times without issue. The ingredients are all easily combustable, naptha, pale oil, and alcohol. If your car has been modified I would get it tuned or have a very reliable mechanic do the once over.

honestly.. i wouldnt even risk seafoaming (my opinion) the detegrints can knock some carbon off your rings/valves and reduce compression in your cylinders (i've heard this of happening). I've also heard of it ruining o2's and cat's also. In my opinion I wouldn't risk it.. but some guys swear by it..
