Try here.
Its a How-to.
There is a link for the EG and EK.
Opens up in adobe.

This would be good if you decide to do it yourself.

Now that I remember, Hasport has a How-To on their website for installing a K into EK.

next level automotive in etobicoke is dropping a K series into their eg race car. the motor is in but the thing isn't up and running yet because they are busy with customer calls. my placement starts this week there so i get to go see this car . K series is badass though man. i thought about it too, the money i end up putting into say a B18C1 to make 200whp, will probably be the same amount of money i spend just to swap in the K series. those motors respond extremely well with bolt ons too. K>B

edit: check this thread out H-T official K swap

has anyone actually read the how-to's set out by hasport and hybrid racing?
it make the swap sound like a piece of cake.
the how-to pdf files are the WORST.
do not even bother with it.

i talked to the guy from amseven cru the one with the baby blue ek sedan with the k20 and the rhd he has been helping me so far. but the problem is all his parts are upgraded and also tucked and hidden also he doesnt have any of the accesories ie. a/c, ps etc... and i want all those so he isnt much help.

just do a nice b20 vtec setup. And I'm sure you could produce some awesome power. I've been In a k20 hatch in an ek. and It's alright. It's very Loud in the car and expect to spend another good chunk of money on suspension. Go with the hasposrt kit it well worth money, cause if you don't you'll have issuess. Still go you a ride in a b20 vtec then decide. Give me a pm I buddy of mine is building b2o vtec that smoke lots or cars on the road. good luck

a b18c or c5 can't compare to the k20.

with i/h/e bolt ons+tuning a JDM b18c makes around 185whp-190whp

no disrespect to the b18 but if you have the money the k20 is well worth the investment.

i dynoed my k20a this spring.
short ram intake
DC race header
magnaflow exhaust system
mugen n1 ecu
208whp 147 ft/lbs

after renting out shannonville during Defcon Track day we ran the 1/4 and i've beaten:
EK hatch with JDM ITR 98spec i/h/e almost 4 cars
EG hatch gutted with JDM ITR 96 spec i/h/e 2-3cars

I think there are a few EGs in toronto running around with the k20 motor...i doubt they are on tcc though...try tsr

i can't imagine it being as easy as it sounds...i read and downloaded everything i could including documentation for the EP3, EK, EG swaps as well for my swap at defcon to make their lives a little easier and it really didn't cover alot of the things needed for the swap. Thanks to Dave's ingenuity the car runs perfect.

exactly what i was thinking too
hasports how to makes it sound like its nothing.
but in reality its a mission and a half.
lol

i am still going with the k20, tahnks danielm for the offer but i am going for a more responsive to mods type of motor.

does anyone have the complete list to the swap parts needed?

also anywhere local where i can buy the parts? or does anyone here have links to hasport mounts or axels??

mounts
intermediate shaft
axels
harness
hondata kpro
shifter box
header
exhaust
cat
fuel rail
fpr
misc hoses/clams
brackets for p/s

will easily account for 3500 US

motor will be another say 4000

so I am looking at 7500 dollars just to say I have the parts to get a k20 going.

add another 2000 EASILY to do the swap by someone else its almost a 10k motor.

my plan however is to get the mounts and axels and shifter box and cables only.
then pretty much take all the crap off the R motor like the header, intake etc.... and have it sitting bare with the tranny attached to it make my own custom shift plate or buy one and attach the shifter box to the car along with the mounts on the car and motor and then dropping the motor in.

after that I am going to focus on every other part of my car first since now all the "BIG" things are in and then come back to it afterwards

i say if u have it lined up it makes for one potent street car!

everyone is on different boards for whatever needs they need..
right now im ivery interested in a LS/VTEC build or CR/VTEC!

i do work in a machine shop and if i have time to have access to one of the CNC mills at my shop i would definately do it!
2.0L LS VTEC - still thinking about it!

right now still in the early stages.... of my build!
p.s guys on G2ic are talkin about K swaps in a DA... they will have mounts soon! yippee

what you guys need to understand is he's not asking for what is faster, im pretty sure he wants to be original and xclusive, thats why he's going with the RHD and the K20 in his ek

its like getting a rolex and a timex. He may pay more money for something that essentially does the same ****, or he could get something "faster", but its the bling bling, nobody else has this effect hes going for i guess, im not him so i cant say nothin but w/e

there is a HASPORT Dealer in Ontario.
Look on the HASPORT Website for the contact info.

that is where i got my mounts.

but..with the exchange rate right now it might be worth it to get it from the states.
