is there any advantage of getting new plugs, wires, and ignition box?

imported_eth0r 24-Oct-2006 04:05 PM

2 step is crazy, back firing and stuff

imported_civic_66 24-Oct-2006 04:20 PM

what? why does it back fire?

new spark plugs and wires yes, unless you plan on using n20, an aftermarket ignition box isn't exactly necessary IMO. Its good if you squeeze b/c they have a spark cut rev limit, where as the stock rev limit is a fuel cut.
Crome has a 2 step, don't need a MSD box for that.
If/when you get plugs/wires get NGK v-power copper core (BKR6E) and some OEM plug wires. I'd change the pcv valve, fuel filter, air filter, distributor cap and rotor and do a valve adjustment while you're at it, make it a full tune up.
