Another quick question
can someone tell me where the 6th gen dx and the 6th gen si redline? i know the dx is 106@6200 and si i think is 127@6600 but where do they redline? i think the si was like 7200??? but the dx...???

haha, you wish MBSi. As long as valve lash is set correctly, and the oil is fresh, there is no danger. If valve lash is too tight, pistons and valves could meet and result in pretty catastrophic failure. Another thing that could go KABOOOM is if the timing belt exploded.

I redline my dx over 7gs... I just Rolled over 190,000km yesterday!! party!! lol My oil is changed every 3-5k, timingbelt, valves are on regular schedual ect... My car revs happily above 6,500rpm on a daily baisis for the past 3 years... My engine operates very tightly, and smooth...
Hell I didnt by a rev hapy honda so I could shift it like a domestic, Honda designed their engins to rev safely at 7grand why do you think they last so long and are so popular?? cuz they can handel it, and still have less problems then a low rpm domestic..
Now id be scared to rev a cavilier past 7 grand...lol
