aluminum vs steel (oem)

if i had an aluminum underdrive pulley would it make much of a difference to my motor if i changed it from (oem steel) to the aluminum one ?

underdrive crank pulley or everything else??

white92d15b7 12-Sep-2003 12:45 AM

just an underdrive crank pulley i only have an alternator hooked up to it :)

no good, the crank pulley is also a harmonic balancer, so if you don't want your engine to shake itself to death internally, then leave it alone.

BTW, you can lighten your flywheel for the same results.

ya i wouldn't touch the crank pulley.... if you want quicker revs and such just shave your flywheel down a little, while the tranny is off may as well get a nice clutch too
