Alternator swivle bolt seized!! 97dx

Well I took my 97 out of the barn the other day and the alt bearing is seized.

So i attempt to remove the bugger for a rebuild and the swivle bolt is fuggin seized too... Its the lower bolt that allows the alt to swing. It has a square end...

I got the nut off, but I cant punch the bolt out!

Tips or tricks, please list below

Advice ive gotten so far.

1. Lube the hell out of it

2. Rock the alt back and fourth (which im still unable to do, cuz its seized so tight.)

3. Punch the bolt out with a 3 foot rod (did this for two hours, no luck)

4. Air hammer (impossible to hit it straight, not enough room, or power)

5. ?

6. ?

7. ?

Hopefully get some more good ideas....

Thanks

You are just trying to get the bolt out right? the nut is already off...
You can thread on a nut part way and then hammer the nut. Once the bolt moves a bit, pyre it free from the other side.

lot of ways, definitely a pain to remove.

MAKE sure when you put it back on, that you grease the hell out of it.

really, heat is the best. it breaks down rust. then do the nut and hammer thing.

I've always had good luck with using an air hammer to remove the bolt.
