Question ALTECH Performance - Good Or Bad?

I just want to know if these guys are good or not and if anybody has done work there?

all our affiliates can do good work. however, in the past, Altech has fuct up and I swear they had monkeys or something do the job. Joe there knows how to do good work... but his employees are gimps I think. Personally, I'd go to Scott Newman instead, he's got more riding on doing good work than what Altech does. No Speeny went there for a simple AEM pulley install, and they fuct it right up.

i was kinda disappointed in their work. they charged like $70 per hour and the guy working on my car wasn't even a licensed mechanic.

mind you, i had work done at a honda dealership that went bad too. i guess it all depends on how lucky you are in getting a good mechanic.

Altech?...hmm Joe does good work like bruno said but all his workers are like high school co-op students..check the affiliates page for great work or if you want a small shop that also does great work B-Line auto...fast...cheap..only three guys that do nothing but good work wether if you have a tempo or c5ed ek

Scott Newman is on this forum...

Scott93HB or something like that can do it too?? I'm sure he'll come post here or maybe markpa can tell you how to get in touch with him.

Joe's hatch, that one he built for his (wife??) is really nice - shows he can do good work. Just wish he cared more about the customer's cars rather than employing guys who have never turned a wrench in their life.

Thanks for the props guys, but its really no big deal, the key is to look after people not just their cars. I do all of my own work becuase as soon as you let someone else take care of it then your rep is riding on their performance, I dont to tonnes of work just so I can concentrate on the customers I have already. Everything is by appt and I dont overlog myself, otherwise the quality of work goes down. Thanks for the support

^^ Well said.

Customer service is a key factor - which is lost when dealing with too many people.

I'm in the west end, and can help you out if you need some work done.

Altech blows, had a AVCR put in and the wiriing job they did was total garbage, wires where everywhere and not connected properly.

IMO they are no good.

^ yeah it's small things like that that they totally screw up. and they told Kent it was normal for his belt to squeak :-| < that right there sealed the deal for poor customer service.

lol so the altech weiner suckers turned on them..lol...but ya if you don't take care of the problem in a professional fashion than you can destroy your rep...and in the auto game rep is how you make money...

Altech was good at the beginning when affiliation started and Joe was doing the work. I've taken my car there for quite a few things in the past but no more now. I've been displeased w/ the work they do now, I don't like kids who work on my car when I bring it in. I've had to replace my steering belt twice within a year! I was charged for it too which i should not have been. Scratches on my fenders. No more going there, bring my car to RT motorsport now. My bro had them work on his A/C and it died within a week. So there's my complaints....probably more but can't remember now....lol

You have to remember that everyone makes mistakes, and no one is god. I should know I have made tonnes, but the key is to look after it and make sure that the car is done properly if a second time is required. I have been at this game a long time and Customer Service is what makes customers use your service, Lets face it anyone can do a tune up or change oil or whatever, its all how the customer feels when their car is done and the leave happy, feeling as though they didnt get ripped off (showing and explaining failures) and they got good value for the money (not charging way too much for stuff because its the "industry standard." Just remember no one is perfect, If I were I would be somewhere warm all year round counting my money!!
