almost stalling?

i start my car, no problems there
about a half a second after it starts it begins to almost stall, then the engine kicks into warm up mode, and the rpm's go to 1500
and its fine
it just started that, it seems like its idling too low at the start, i dont get why it wants to stall

no CEL? distributor cap, rotor, wires, and plugs are 1st suspects. after that, carboned up IACV or just flat out bad IACV. I'd clean the rotor and cap 1st cuz that's free... then if it helps, go ahead and replace them for another 100K kms of worry free igniting.

while you are in with the cap&rotor, why not purchase some new plugs CT had a sale on them, NGK's, and new wires are cheap..

all i did is clean up the distributor as he said, it was getting a little messy on the contacts, the rotor was fine, ill probably replace it soon tho, but for now, the problem is solved, everything works great, ill probably end up changing the plugs and wires this week along with the distributor,
i also found out that i got a cracked exhaust manifold, i knew there was some kinda exhaust leak for a while, i decided to take a look under the heatshield and discovered that it wasn't a gasket problem, but a really big crack in the manifold
does anyone know of anyone who's selling a manifold, or has one laying around for a 96 cx, manual
lemme know
and does anyone know what it costs to replace?

$750 from the dealer... but on here ppl practically give them away. I mean, in reality, they are not worth THAT much, like under $100 for sure. check local wreckers too!

before i buy a used one i got to find out if my cars still under honda warranty, when i called them they said it would be free but they have to check if the warranty is still there, i think since its a 96 built one month before the 97 production started i might be able to get me a free manifold

i'd think to refer back to what bbarbulo said and go ahead and change the wires, spark plugs, rotor, and distributor cap, make sure you have nothing wrong with your spark
