All-season tire showdown . . . Please help
I am finally getting down to the nitty gritty and choosing only three options for A/S's. Here they are:
1. Nokian NRW's
2. Nokian WR's
3. Falken ZE 512's
*4. Michelin Hydroedge's (considering)
(In no particular order)
Now for some background info. I live in Toronto, ON where it snows off and on and the streets get plowed ASAP. I drive a 2001 Civic coupe that requires 185/70/14, but I'll probably go for a 195/65/14 as another option. I am concerned mostly getting the best all-round tire, knowing that A/S are a compromise all-in-itself.
I can get all three for roughly the same price so $$$ is not an issue. I have seen reviews on the Net about how the NRW performs better than the WR on dry conditions and all other categories, even though they have a more aggressive tread design (ie. chunky). However, the WR seems to be a newer tire that might have "better" advancements. Basically, I do not know which tire to get. Can someone please direct me to the light?
Furthermore, does anyone know of any places I can buy Falken 512's in Toronto?
Thanks in advance. I really appreciate the help.

Just to let you know, I bought the Falken Ziex 512 all seasons off tiretrends.com for $124 + $10 shipping ($134) per tire plus GST. I ordered last tuesday and it actually arrived on Tuesday but I wasn't home, so I drove to Purolator yesterday to pick em up. so basically it took five business days to get from BC to Toronto.
Just to let you know, you could get the 195/65R14s for $75 per tire and then it would be $10 per tire for shipping. And you don't pay PST since they're coming from BC, just GST. But mind you, your size would be H-rated. The size I got was v-rated, and therefore more expensive.
Good luck on your decision.

I ended up buying snow tires from crappy tire. - I live 1 hour north of toronto, and when I drive home from work at 3-4am I see ALL the snowplows parked!! they seem to stay there 'till 4:30-5:30AM - then they start plowing for the AM rush.
This will be the 1st year I've had snow tires (usually I have all season), so I'll let you know how they are come spring.
