alignment/tire question??

alignment/tire question??

hey guys whats up hmm my question is im goin to get the alignment done on my 89 tomorrow now i have a lil bit of a problem my 89 has 2 sets of rims on it ( my front tires popped damn drag radials) so im borrowin my buddys but the problem is they are a different size not the rim but the tire then the ones in the back does that really matter for alignment? those are not the tires i will be using for the winter i will be puttin my steelies on next week i just want to head up to cayuga this weekend but i need alignment if anyone can help me out that would be great thanks

makes no difference what rims you use for an alignment.

cool thanks jus double checkin i dun wanna spend the money on aligment and then that happens cuz they different sizes

not what i heard.

Yuo cannot get a proper (True) alignment without the same size of wheels as far as i know. I maybe wrong though

All 4 tire size should be the same. If they are diff it will throw out the spec for the alignments. Diff rims are probably alrite as long as they are the same size rims with same size tires then it is ok. Otherwise dun do alignment, it will wear out your tires. Because i do Alignments and i tell u the answer. Whoever that tells u diff dunno what they are talking about. Hope that helps.

well ended up doin it and everything works fine its jus somethin i cause i re did my suspension and tie rods and breaks so i jus need soemthin to put into line and im not puttin my winters on till next week gotta go to cayuga one final time thanks for the input boyz and i asked the guys at the alignment place they said it would be ok its when u lower it u will have the problem my car is jacked up all the way time for winter

there are two different, one can you do even if you have different size of rim, the other kind you have to put one the correct size of rim.( yes, when you lower it, but you need chamer kit to do that)
